Introduction
These memos contain work which describe our ideas for a methodological
approach to the construction of machine vision systems. This methodology
is illustrated by work on specific algorithmic modules as embodied
in the software of the Tina vision libraries (and integrated stereo vision system).
In addition we present our attempts to understand aspects of the human
vision system and ideas for future research direction.
